GENERATIONS CONNECT AT COLLEGE
College students get to meet people who are different from themselves, but most students don’t form friendships with someone in their seventies, eighties, or nineties. That is exactly what Michigan State University is promoting through their “Generations Connect” program. Each incoming student is paired with an adult from the community, and the students are encouraged to learn from the wisdom and experience around the room. The program has proved to be very popular, with both students and seniors surprised at the depth of connections. As the founder, John Waller, explains, “It takes . . . being kind to thrive in a program like this. . . .  It seems to me to be one of the most important things you can learn.”

GENERATIONS EXTOL GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
Psalm 145—the final psalm attributed to David—describes a testimony that God’s people can share of His faithfulness. To praise God “forever and ever” requires that we give a consistent witness, that we praise God for all the ways that He is worthy to be enthroned as king. That’s how the psalmist can know that praise won’t stop with us; God’s kingdom will continue “for all generations.”
