NOT TOO YOUNG TO BE IN COLLEGE
Aiden Wilkins is nine, but he’s already attending college—college neuroscience classes, to be exact. Technically, he’s “only” a sophomore at Reach Cyber Charter High School this fall, but he’s already taking a neuroscience class at Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. That’s because he wants to be a pediatric neurosurgeon when he grows up. At the age of two, when most toddlers are just learning to speak, Aiden had taught himself to read traffic signs. College officials marvel that Aiden can discuss Shakespeare, brain anatomy, and glial cells—in addition to soccer and his favorite video games. “We’re delighted to be a part of Aiden’s journey,” says Kelly Sorensen, associate provost at Ursinus. “The challenge is to keep his hungry mind well-fed.”

NOT TOO YOUNG TO BE A PROPHET
We don’t know precisely how old Jeremiah was when God called him to be a prophet as a “young” person (Jer. 1:6), but the Lord says that Jeremiah had been set apart for His service even before he was born. Jeremiah tells God that he is too young to know how to speak properly. Perhaps he wondered how others much older would respond to his telling them what God was declaring, even giving harsh corrections. Nevertheless, he obeyed and spoke whatever the Lord commanded him to say.
