Does someone need perfect eyesight to understand the world around them? Sometimes, physical sight might be the least important thing of all. Let’s check out a video about a man who realize that there’s a lot more to “seeing” than meets the eye.

When you finish watching the video, discuss the following questions:
- How did it make you feel to see Carlos be able to enjoy the game and celebrate his team’s goal? (Let students share their reactions.)
- How did the interpreter provide insight for his deaf friend? (He was able to transmit meaning through guiding the fan’s hand on the miniature soccer field.)
- Even though the video is about a soccer match, what does it really showcase? (More than sports, it illustrates the emotional power of one man’s kindness and another man’s joy at participating in an activity he loves.)
- Why do people rely so heavily on physical eyesight? What are some things we can’t see that are far more important? (God, love, emotions, prayer, etc. are all accessible through the spirit rather than through the senses.)
Spiritual insight never relies on our physical eyesight. Jesus understood this as He taught others about heaven and eternity—two things that our senses alone can’t comprehend.
