A FAITHFUL PRESERVATION OF MEMORIES
A memorial celebration is underway at the Museum of Boulder in Colorado. The public is invited to visit between August and January to explore an exhibit of over 200 artifacts that tell the story of the museum’s 100 years of faithful preservation, curation, and exhibition work. The exhibit will provide behind-the-scenes access to the process of caring for over 45,000 objects stewarded by the museum. The Museum of Boulder aims to educate visitors about how decisions are made in preserving history and telling stories for future generations. The museum believes the exhibit will shed light on a vital question: “What does it take to care for a community’s legacy?”
A MEMORIAL TO GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
After crossing the Jordan, God exalts Joshua before the Israelites; and they respect him as they did Moses. God tells Joshua when to have the priests, along with the ark of the covenant, come out of the water. When the priests step onto the bank, the flooding waters return to their place because God has control over creation. After leaving the Jordan River, the Israelites camp at Gilgal near Jericho. There, Joshua sets up twelve stones, which are to be a reminder to the generations to come. God did this so that all people could see His power and turn to Him.
